photo & motion art direction
As a part of Target's Promotions Marketing team, I was able to design and photo art direct a variety of promotions for the Apparel & Accessories category (includes Baby Apparel, Furnishings and Gear). I am able to collaborate with photographers, stylists, wardrobe stylists, hair & makeup artists, set designers and more to execute creative that is reflective of the Target brand and amplifies inspiration and value.
concepting & inspiration
in the beginning stages, I meet and brainstorm with strategists, copywriters, managers and buyers to craft stories that amplify business objectives and promotional value. this requires keeping an eye on current trends, collecting inspirational images to create moodboards and even hand sketching concepts to stretch the imagination past what we have seen other creatives do for other brands.
DealFinder - social amplifications:
The promotions marketing creative team generates work for every single week of the year without missing a single day! This means that we get many opportunities to produce value focused, beautiful work on a regular basis (I've worked on 70+ projects so far and counting in just under 2 years, talk about Art Director bootcamp!). Social has become a large part of what Promotions Creative produces and very often these are Apparel focused features. By utilizing stop motion and animation teams, DealFinder has been a thriving part of the business and a joy in my everyday work. Channels include Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Target Deals Circular - print amplification:
The Target Deals Circular continues to be an important vessel of communication to the DealFinder guest - whether they see it in store, on the Target App or online. Mixing Minneapolis studio work and talent from LA and NYC, we are able to craft on figure and
lay-down stories to beautifully show weekly promotional items.
